| The Road to the New Parliament House Is Under Construction |

On June 9, 2006, as one blast was heard, Honorable Mr. Popane Lebesa, Minister of Public Works and Transport of Lesotho, announced construction of the road leading to the future Parliament House started.
The project of the new House of Parliament at the top of the Mpilo Hill will be funded by China. Because there was no access road leading to the project site, the government of Lesotho has budgeted for the road construction.These roads converge on the project site from the direction of IEMS and that of Lesotho Sun.
Upon completion by October, the roads will be able to carry construction traffic and the construction of the Parliament House can start before the end of this year.
